Philosophical colloquium about nominalism in Geneva.
This metaphysical debate is contemporary, mainly because of the current rejection by the general public of sophisticated financial instruments which they don’t understand, but also of the existence of virtual entities, be they mediated, fictional, or imaginary. Nominalism is characterized by a rejection of abstractions.

Workshop on augmented theatre

Christopher Balme and Meike Wagner (LMU) have spent the day at the SINLAB in order to hear and discuss about each researcher’s current work, in the perspective of the history of theatre and future trends.
Intermedia performance and electronic arts can be analyzed through the framework of practice-based research, which applies to live/recorded arts/media such as film, video, television, radio, theatre, dance, music, and artistic performance.
