Lost in translation

The Sapir-Whorf hypothesis was formulated in the 1930s, regarding the nature of someone’s thoughts, and how they are dependent on the languages that this person knows. Do thoughts exist in the absence of language ? Yes. Conscious introspection, fMRI and other experiments can help us to find out more about the nature of our thought processes.
